Handles traffic with departmental systems and other external systems
The Integration and Messaging Module is the gateway between PBRC and all internal and external systems:
Incoming demographic and charge item data (eg bed-day charges, pathology tests etc) is processed and validated for quality and integrity.
Outgoing traffic submits claims to Medicare and Private Health Funds, and passes billing information to the Trust or hospital financial systems.
Data transfer is initiated on-demand for point-of-care billing or with a daily batch feed to keep auditing and balancing simple.
The integration engine embedded in PBRC handles any data source and accepts batch or transactional data feeds, including HL7, XML and ODBC. Our open technology does not require pre-specified import formats.
