Cost Manager’s Patient Costing module is easy to implement and maintain, using organisation-wide standard costing rules and exceptions.

It performs costing at an activity level (such as a chest X-ray), and consolidates the results to the patient, HRG, service, or any other desired level of detail.

Analyse cost overruns by investigating your patient costing information down to length of stay, department, activity code, and finally down to the cost buckets that make up the total costs for a single activity code.

Cost Manager supports the allocation of patient attributable and non-patient attributable costs where an organisation does not have an electronic interface for a given patient care area.

Advantages

  • Performs costing down to the activity level and reports on consolidated levels

  • Uses organisation-wide costing rules and exceptions

  • Uses HRG weights to allocate costs for non-patient attributable services

  • Built-in reconciliations and audits.

Patient Costing Report

Patient Costing results are stored in OLAP cubes and viewed using the OLAP Reporting tool. You can also view the same data at different resolution by specifying different rows and measures in a custom report.
